Sorority Row - Official Trailer

The genre is clearly presented by the use of mise-en-scene and music. There are recognisable celebrities fetaured in the film. There are inter titles that appear after there has been a death. There is a white screen for a few seconds showing a time gap fro mthe accident to them graduating. There are no production values apart fro mthe name of the film.

The target audience is yet again teenagers aged between 16-25 as this is based a soriety in college. this would mainly be for females in the sense of this is about a group if girls, also for males simply for the woman.

The music is similar to a typical horror trailer, you here natural sounds in the background with notes being held to keep your eyes on the screen. While there is a party scene they use the music that is used in the actual movie to show some realism and make you feel as if you are at the party and is also a useful tool to use so you get a better understanding about the film. The ending has loud drum and singing to make and keep the tension/suspension.

There is a mixture of diologue and a voice over to i suppose add more tension. and the fact they are both mixed up does add tension because as you are being told the plot the voice over draws you in and adds more suspense for the audience.

This does have all the key conventions to a perfect horror trailer, it keeps you watching because of the fast pace and mixture of diologue, voice over and music.
